There are a few traditional motorcycle salvage or junk yards that we can recommend. If we have had problems with a yard or the proprietors or employees are rude, we will not have a "this yard sucks list" we just will not mention them.
Willie's Cycle 25921 Hwy 280, Camp Hill AL 36850, 800-334-4045. They have a 6 acre junkyard of ATV, sportbike, dirt bike and cruiser parts. They also sell on eBay. Really nice people.

Northend Cycle of Beaumont 5560 Hwy 105, Beaumont, TX 77708, 800-428-7821. We have purchased a few items from them over the years. Motorcycle, dirt & ATV parts. I gather that they store most parts indoors.

Don't forget to tell them you heard about them on WeeksMotorcycle.com
In England, Europe and Australia, motorbike breakers or perform the same function as US salvage yards. If you are looking for used bike parts, especially British or Euro brands, why not try your luck in the UK.
Here are a couple of things to remember: not all bikes are released world-wide, while the part may be the same the terminology may not, always compare prices in US Dollars using a currency converter and customs duties can get expensive so do your research before you buy.
What we in the US call used parts, riders in the UK call spares.
When shopping internationally always use a secure payment system, like PayPal or Revolution Money Exchange. Never wire money directly to the seller.
