Hayabusa Water Pump

Question:

Will a 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa water pump fit a 00 Suzuki Hayabusa? {Thomas, North Carolina, USA – 2000 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R}

Answer:

In 2000 the GSX1300R Hayabusa Water Pump assembly OEM part number is 17400-24F00, superseded to 17400-24F10. Yes, the 2003 water pump is the same.

How can you determine if other parts are the interchangeable? We will use this water pump as an example below.

Suzuki Online Parts Cross Reference

The World of Powersports retail website has a great cross-reference feature. Unlike some other sites with online fiche, they show the OEM part number, not their own stock number. Click the OEM Parts button on the left. In the Quick Part Look Up box, choose Suzuki from the Brands list and enter your part number, 17400-24F00, in the Search for box. Click the Quick Look Up button.

The search returns with every other Suzuki machine that this part fits. You now have a list of bikes that you know use your part. This makes searching for parts a little easier.

See that little right pointing arrow next to the part number? That means the part has a part number supersession. If there is a change to a part or its price, it gets a new number. Parts with this new number will also fit your bike.

The price shown is what World of Powersports sells this item for. They are generally reasonable. It may be more or less than other online sellers or your local dealer. It is always a good idea to shop around.

Want to see the microfiche diagram containing this part? Click on the magnifying glass on the right side, under the View column heading.

You now have your information to begin comparing prices or searching the salvage yards
for a used part.

I just thought I would mention that Weeks is not affiliated with World of Powersports. We do not receive a commission or ad revenue if you click the link and purchase your parts from them as we may with some other retailers we mention. They do not offer any special offers or discounts to visitors arriving to their site via ours. They just have a really easy to use, straight forward interface, a large choice of manufacturers to choose from and fast loading pages.

Other retailers with online parts fiche include Bike Bandit, Cycle-Parts
and

Superbike Toy Store

.

They have what is called the OEM Parts Wizard at Bike Bandit but it does not give you the OEM Suzuki part number, making it hard to cross-reference. But they do have really good prices and cheap UPS shipping fees.

On Cycle-Parts you can enter the part number in the search field and it gives you a small amount of cross-reference information.

They have good prices on the site, the Hayabusa water pump is $20 cheaper, but I have never personally ordered from them.

The Superbike Toy Store website does not seem to do any cross referencing of OEM parts but the do have Free Layaway!
