ATC90 Spark Plug

Question:

  • I'm trying to find the correct spark plug for this trike. Is it a D8HA or a D8HS. Is a Champion P7 the same as either or both? I haven't been able to cross reference the D8HS to a Champion. Thanks! {Ron, Swartz Creek, MI 1975 ATC90}
  • Answer:

    The 1970 thru 1978 Honda ATC90 uses NGK plug D8HA. This NGK plug cross references to a Champion P7 plug, Champion stock number 816 or a Denso X24FS-U plug, Denso stock number 4103. The correct plug gap is .028.

    You can find spark plug information for hundreds of bikes on the Basic Reference pages. For instance, click the left navigation button titled Honda ATVs. Your choices from there are basic reference, advanced ref, VIN codes, model codes, etc. Choose Basic Reference and it will take you to charts of reference materials for Honda ATV & ATCs including spark plugs. The ATC90 spark plug is listed there.

    If you know your plug number in one brand and want to know what the equivalent number is in another brand you can look it up in our Spark Plug Cross Reference Charts.
